OUD LEVANT

Oud Levant is a modern interpretation of oud — refined, understated, designed to be lived in. An oud you can wear to a meeting, a dinner, a Tuesday.
It opens with clove, pink peppercorn and saffron, cut with a subtle citrus brightness that keeps the composition sharp from the first spray. The heart unfolds slowly: tobacco leaf, guaiacwood and soft cinnamon layered with dried fruit — warmth without heaviness. As it settles, smoked oud, dark woods, vanilla and musk melt into the skin, leaving a trail that feels intimate, expensive, and quietly addictive.
Made for those who value presence over attention — the ones remembered for their taste long after they've left the room.

PROCESS & CRAFTSMANSHIP
Oud Levant was composed around an emotional register, not a checklist of notes. Clove and pink peppercorn sharpened with saffron at the opening. Tobacco leaf and guaiacwood through the heart. Smoked oud, dark woods and a clean musk anchoring the dry-down.
Macerated for weeks before bottling. Hand-finished in small batches. This is oud you can wear to dinner. Not just to occasions.
After blending, Oud Levant is left to macerate — a resting period where the raw materials integrate, settle, and develop complexity. This is the step most mass-market fragrances skip entirely. When production is optimised for speed, the juice is bottled within days of compounding. It smells finished. It isn't.
Maceration is what separates a fragrance that smells good in the first five minutes from one that still holds its character eight hours later. It's slow. It's inefficient. It's why Oud Levant doesn't smell like it was made last week — because it wasn't.
Oud Levant is produced in limited runs, not continuous manufacturing. Each batch is mixed, macerated, and bottled as a single cohesive production — not pulled from an industrial vat that's been running for months.
Small-batch production means tighter quality control, higher consistency between bottles, and the ability to work with materials that don't scale to mass production volumes. It also means we occasionally sell out. That's a trade-off we accept. We'd rather have every bottle be right than have every bottle be available.
Frequently Asked Questions
THE FRAGRANCE
Oud Levant is built for longevity, not just first impression. Most wearers report 8 hours of noticeable presence on skin, with the dry-down (oud accord, smoke, vanilla, musk) often still detectable the next morning on clothing and fabric.
Longevity depends on skin type — drier skin tends to absorb fragrance faster, so applying to well-moisturised skin or pulse points helps extend wear. The opening notes (clove, pink peppercorn, saffron) will evolve within the first 30–60 minutes into the tobacco and guaiacwood heart, before settling into the oud accord base that defines the signature.
This is not a fragrance that fades after a meeting. It is designed to still be present when you leave the room.
Oud Levant projects with intention, not volume. In the first 1–2 hours, the spiced opening carries moderate projection — enough to be noticed in close conversation and leave a trail when you move through a space. It is not a fragrance that announces itself from across the room. That is deliberate.
As it settles into the dry-down, the sillage becomes more intimate — a close, warm presence that people notice when they lean in, not when you walk past. This is what creates the "what are you wearing?" moment rather than the "that's strong" reaction.
If you prefer more projection, apply to pulse points on the neck, wrists, and behind the ears. For a subtler wear, a single spray to the chest beneath clothing creates an all-day personal scent experience.
Both. This was a deliberate design decision.
The opening is spiced and aromatic (clove, saffron, pink peppercorn) without being heavy or overpowering, which makes it comfortable for professional settings and daytime wear. A single spray is enough for the office, a meeting, or a quiet dinner.
For evenings, events, or occasions where you want more presence, two to three sprays will open up the projection and let the tobacco heart and oud dry-down fill a room more deliberately.
The versatility is a function of the composition — balanced enough for subtlety, deep enough for impact. It depends on how much you apply, not what you apply.
Oud Levant was designed as masculine-leaning, but like all Haus of Ariya fragrances, it is unisex. The composition — clove, saffron, tobacco, oud accord, smoke, and woods — has historically been associated with men's fragrance, and many of our customers are men. But scent does not have a gender. Anyone drawn to depth, smoky warmth, and a resinous oud dry-down will find Oud Levant suits them.
Worn by a woman, it reads as confident, grounded, and unexpected. Worn by a man, it reads as commanding and intentional. Worn by anyone, it reads as Oud Levant.
THE BRAND
Most fragrances at lower price points use synthetic accords — lab-created molecules designed to approximate the scent of real ingredients. They can smell convincing in the first few minutes, but they tend to flatten quickly, lose complexity, and take on a sharp, plasticky quality as they dry down.
Oud Levant is formulated with higher-grade raw materials and built at full Eau de Parfum concentration. The result is a scent that evolves on skin rather than simply fading. The opening is distinctly different from the heart, and the dry-down is different again — a progression that lower-concentration or synthetically driven fragrances rarely achieve.
We also macerate our formulations — a resting period after blending where the materials integrate and develop depth. This is the step most mass-produced fragrances skip because it adds time and cost. It is also the step you can hear in the difference.
Oud Levant is formulated and produced in small batches, with final bottling and hand-packing completed in Sydney, Australia.
The fragrance was developed over a two-year period of research and refinement, drawing on traditional Arabian perfumery principles and modern formulation techniques. Every batch is macerated before bottling — a resting process that allows the raw materials to integrate fully and develop the depth and complexity you experience on skin.
We do not operate on continuous manufacturing. Each production run is mixed, rested, and bottled as a single batch, which allows us to maintain tighter quality control and work with materials that do not scale well to mass production. When a batch sells out, the next one is produced fresh.
They were designed as counterparts, not competitors.
Oud Levant opens sharp and aromatic (clove, pink peppercorn, saffron), moves through a dry, resinous heart (tobacco, guaiacwood), and settles into a smoky oud accord dry-down. It is grounded, controlled, and deliberately intense.
Parisa Marjan is built around a different emotional register — bright citrus and almond opening into a creamy floral heart of jasmine, coconut, and orange flower, settling into a warm dry-down of sandalwood, vanilla, and Egyptian amber. Where Oud Levant holds a room, Parisa Marjan warms it.
Many of our customers own both. Worn together — by a couple, in a shared space, or layered on the same skin — they create something neither does alone. If you are unsure which suits you, our sample program lets you test both before choosing.
ORDERING
Every full bottle order includes a complimentary 2mL sample vial, so you can experience Oud Levant on your skin before committing to a full bottle.
We designed the program this way because fragrance is personal — the same composition smells different on every person's skin chemistry, and you deserve to test that before investing. Spray the sample on your wrist, live with it for a full day, and let the dry-down develop. The first five minutes are not the fragrance. The last five hours are.
If it isn't right for you, we offer returns within 14 days of delivery. No fragrance is for everyone, and we would rather you find the right scent than keep one that doesn't feel like yours.

BEHIND THE SCENT
Oud Levant began in the gap between two worlds — the spiced opening of an Arabian souk at dawn and the quiet finish of a Parisian study at dusk. It is what happens when restraint meets intensity. A fragrance for those who understand that presence is built, not announced.
Oud Levant is a statement. A declaration of individuality. A fragrance for those who dare to break the mould and leave an unforgettable mark. A legacy worthy of its wearer.

From the founders
"We did not set out to make a fragrance that everyone would like. We set out to make one that the right person would never forget."
Haus of Ariya was built by two Australian perfumers who found their purpose in a Cairo fragrance stall and spent two years turning it into something real. Every bottle is mixed, rested, and hand-packed in Sydney.
